Casement windows!

Have you ever read the instruction manual for window installation? It is absolutely crazy! There are so many things you need to do that are not even in the manual - like taping the outside of the window, doing something with the house wrap, making sure stuff is plumb(level) a million times... Geesh.

One window is done! Yes just one... 😳. There were small 'dents' on the wood around the window that I discovered when we opened the box but I was told they will not do anything about them because they are not that 'noticeable' - thanks a lot Home Depot you have been absolutely amazing to deal with, not ... I hate you.  Besides that, the stain color is nice. If my windows were not putting us behind schedule from being delivered late (4+ weeks!!!) I would have fought and fought; it still makes me upset.  Even though I know there are those small imperfections the window looks great!

First, I honestly was a little skeptical about their product Scentsicles.  As any normal person would ... I took them to my classroom to see if it would battle the smell of 6th grade teenagers and a proximity of the middle school locker room.

They did! I tried it with the Pine Scentsicles, first starting with one individual stick and putting it on my desk in my pencil cup. Throughout the day students would ask where the tree smell was coming from - success! I put the Snowberry Wreath Scentsicles on our tree downstairs (our 3rd or 4th generation hand me down). It does make the entire room smell amazing! You will love any scent that you buy, trust me! We decided to put them on ourselves to save more than $7,000.  This is taking forever with all the rain PA has been receiving...

Windows!

My windows come today! Yes, they are 3 weeks late and this entire process was filled with DRAMA. That is another post to say the least.  On a good note they are finally being delivered! I hope they are the correct ones because I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't considering how this entire process has played itself out.  😧

 My kitchen and stairway that will have windows put in by next weekend (hopefully)! I am so excited!
