Have you ever heard of coconut oil? I honestly have not so when I got the chance to review Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil I could not pass it up! It surprised my that it came in a solid form because I was expecting it to look similar to olive oil. At first I have no idea how to use coconut oil. I decided that I would just use it to saute some peppers and onions. I really wanted to see if the coconut oil would change the taste or cooking method. I tasted it before I started cooking and I didn't think that it had a strong taste at all. It made me feel better because I am not a huge coconut fan! As soon as the oil hits the pan, it melts. Besides that there is no obvious difference in sauteing. The only difference in taste was that I thought the peppers and onions were a little sweeter.
