Beanfield Snacks~Review

Beanfields chips are amazing.  They are Gluten Free and are made with black and navy beans and rice, and cooked in high-quality safflower or sunflower seed oil, giving them a great taste and distinctive crunch.  They honsetly are crunchy - we put them in our chili instead of the crackers that are filled with wheat ad gluten.  Yum!

"We take wholesome and nutritious beans and blend them with long grain rice to create delicious snacks that are loaded with fiber and protein. In fact Beanfields Bean & Rice chips contain double the fiber and protein of most corn tortilla or potato chips."

Something I love is that a percentage of Beanfields profits are committed to profit-sharing with employees and stakeholders, and contributed to non-profit efforts to help farmers grow healthier, more sustainable crops. Yes, they help farmers with growing crops!  With the economy acting like a yo-yo this is good to hear.

Beanfields Bean & Rice Chips are great tasting snacks that are healthier for you:
bullet point Complete Protein: 4 grams in every serving, as much as a 4 oz. glass of milk.
bullet point Fiber: 4 grams in every serving, the same as a ½ cup serving of raisin bran. And you get both soluble
and insoluble fiber, which aids digestion. The fiber also helps you feel fuller longer.
bullet point Allergen Specific: Beanfields is free of every one of the FDA's eight most common ingredients that
trigger food allergies.
bullet point Complex Carbohydrates provide long lasting energy.
bullet point Minerals our bodies need, including potassium and magnesium.
bullet point Half the saturated fat and one third less sodium than most corn tortilla chips.

What did we think?

These chips completely surprised me.  I thought that they would have a strong bean taste and that
was not the case.  They do have a slightly different taste than "normal" chips but that would to be
expected since they are not normal chips!  My favorite was the Nachos!  My two year old really
liked them also and I felt I could give these to her without worrying about the nutrition.
