Juppy Baby Walker Giveaway!

Juppy Baby walker
Learning to walk is such an exciting development for babies and parents, but it can be difficult for both. Bending over to hold your baby's hands while they toddle along can be very painful on your back, and putting your baby in a traditional baby walker can increase their risk of injury and doesn't help teach them to balance properly. So, I was very excited when I found out we'd get the chance to try the Juppy Baby Walker!

Juppy Baby WalkerI'd seen the Juppy on TV and around the blogosphere, but I hadn't really given it much thought. My oldest was already walking when I first discovered it. But, now that we have our new little guy, Avery, I'm glad I gave it another look. It's really a very simple concept---one of those "why didn't I think of that?" products that makes perfect sense. It's a harness that supports your baby with two long straps that the parent holds to help keep the baby balanced. So, instead of hunching over to hold your baby's hands, you stand up straight and let your baby learn to balance and walk naturally, with his hands at his sides. And the Juppy is doctor recommended for both babies and parents due to the decreased risk of back injuries for parents and arm injuries for babies from parents holding their arms too tightly while they walk. As someone who struggles with a persistent back injury, I'm relieved to have an alternative to bending over when Avery starts walking.

Even though Avery is too young to think about crawling or walking yet, the Juppy is one size fits all, so even our two month old could try it out! And he really liked it. We put it on him and stood him up on the ground while I supported his weight with the straps. He happily gurgled and pushed along with his legs, trying to stand and take little steps as I slowly walked along. It's amazing how even a two month old has a natural instinct to take steps. And the second time I put it on him to get some pictures, he gave me the biggest grin!

Juppy Baby WalkerI think it's safe to say that the Juppy is a keeper for our household. It's made of 100% cotton and machine washable, so it should be easy to maintain as Avery grows. And, it folds up nice and small and can fit in a purse or diaper bag. I can definitely see taking it along to the park or playgroup as Avery grows and starts wanting to waddle around all the time. It will help him feel independent as he walks around but will keep him close and safe while he's still learning. No toddlers waddling off this time around!

You can purchase the Juppy right now online at TheJuppy.com for $29.95 in blue, pink, or black, and you can even customize it with your baby's name. Plus, right now they are offering free shipping to the US and Canada. And each Juppy comes with a handy carrying case.
