So pretty much everyone has heard of Scentsy by now.  But I didn't know what all the hype was about.  What makes their warmers so great?  Well after I tried some Scentsy products, I understood!  Ashley Eckard filled me in on Scentsy:

I LOVE my warmer!  It is really cute!  My daughter even named it Mr. Owl.  My husband hates the smell of all cleaning products so I turn it on while cleaning.  The scents last a long time even after it's off.  I have been using mine everyday and plan on using it for a long time!   The Baked Apple Pie smells exactly like it's name.  The only problem is that I keep wanting pie!  The Beach scent also smells like it's name.  It combines all the best scents at the beach into one bar.  My favorite was the Clean Breeze.  It smells like clean laundry that was high out to dry outside. I am definitely buying more when I run out!  The Enchanted Mist Layers Body Spray was a pleasant surprise.  I am not a huge perfume girl but this spray is perfect for me.  It is a great scent that isn't too strong.  My husband asked me why I have been smelling so great lately.  Overall, I have been changed into a lifelong Scentsy fan!

I love my bath products from EdenFantasys.com!

Every day I wait patiently for bath time.  Since I am a stay at home mom, I have very little time to myself.  I tell my husband that I am taking a bath and no one is to bother me for a full hour.  One day, he asked me why if taking a bath was my favorite time didn't I buy some good bath products for myself.  Up until that point, I had been using our two year old's Dora bubbles.  I thought the Eden Fantasys was only high quality toys and  lingerie.  But not so!  After trying to find affordable, quality bath products, I was please when I found Eden Fantasy's selection!  

I have fallen in love with their Dona by Jo bath products!  All of the products are under ten dollars and Eden Fantasys always is having some great sale and lots of freebies with your order.  There are seven products in this line and so far I have tried four of them.

The Bath Foam is by far my favorite!  I have bought it three times now and don't plan to stop any time soon. It has the perfect amount of scent.  I hate when products are so heavily scented and they tend to give me a headache. It is way thicker than I expected and it produces long lasting bubbles.  I highly recommend!

I have also tried the Bath Salts.  I was surprised how large the bath salts are!  I think that because of their size, they don't leave that grittiness at the bottom of your tub.  I wish that they made a larger container because I seem to go through it really fast!

Dona's sensual chromotherapy bath treatment is now a must for stressful days.  It changes the color of your bath water while releasing a soft scent.  At first I was worried that it would stain me and the bath tub but luckly it didn't!  It also seems to lightly hydrate my skin.  I am a big fan!

Dona's line also includes body polish, body wash, bath milk and herbal bath essence.

Ah! Cows are taking over the world!

Cows are trying to take over the world! But how would these normally docile creatures do such a thing? Only Jimmy Tatley, a fourteen year old boy from Golthwaite and his faithful, clever sheepdog companion Flossy can find out and stop them in time to save everyone from becoming the bovine’s slaves. This is not without its perils and comical consequences however. Of course, they get a little help on the way from some unusual characters, the avians and not forgetting those mysterious agents ‘The Masters’. 

This book honestly did make me giggle. When I see a cow they are usually slowly chewing their grass and walking around at a leisurely pace.   Within the humor presented in the book, it made the reader have a great message when finished - You can always make a difference!  I loved that the bird, Robin, demonstrated over and over again that being small is a moot point when dealing with situations he was faced with.  I'm not entirely sure what was in the water at this small village, but it would be extremely interesting to see!  'The Masters' is an interesting group.  At first I was thinking it was just a general term for humans, but then was surprised when I read it.   It reminded me of the movies Cats v. Dogs and how they lived in a world that was completely secret from us.  This book is a great mix of humor, wonder, and action.  It is a piece of creative writing that children will love.  Many activities can be made out of it in a classroom too :)  Be sure to like the author on FB because he travels to many schools and most likely has many ideas to offer as well!

• Creative Writing activity dealing with another animal that they could see try taking over the world
• Study of descriptive words
• Book project dealing with art 
• etc.

 This was a great easy read and children of all ages can read it, with or without adult assistance.  Remember, if it is on an EReader they can automatically use the dictionary while coming across an unknown word.  Check out the Book Blog for more info!

Reuse It Totes!

When you go grocery shopping do you just wish you had a great tote bag to put your groceries in?

We recently took it on our trip to Wal-Mart to put all our  fruits and veggies in.  I loved that it had pockets on the outside, which of course I stored my phone/keys/coupons.  If you go to Wal-Mart, you know yourself it takes forever to get though the store because you want to look at everything you do not need or never will.  The BlueAvacado  did keep our fruits chilled throughout the entire journey.  The entire bag is made from recycled material, which is a great idea.  Altough the website carries many products made in USA, this bag is not.  If you are wondering how to clean it, just get a wipe!  The one I have is called Kiwi Wildflower and sells for $22.95.

I'm sure I speak for all the dessert lovers out there when I say that there is no better way to satisfy your sweet tooth than with a ginormous cupcake. When I heard that I was given the opportunity to review the Big Top Cupcake pan, I was beyond ecstatic. All of the possible frosting flavors and fillings came rushing through my mind and I couldn't help but feel a sense of giddiness knowing that I'll be having a cupcake that's 10 times the size of a normal cupcake in my possession. Can you imagine? So when the Big Top Cupcake arrived at my doorstep, you already know what kind of excitement I was feeling. As usual, I ripped open the shipping box, grab the packaging out, and start reading everything from cover to cover. I wasted no time taking it to the kitchen and putting it to use. My husband looked at me like I was crazy because I had this huge smile on my face I almost looked crazy. Yes, that's what baking equipment does to me. Is that weird? I decided to make an English toffee buttermilk cake with a sweet orange glaze to drizzle over it. The thought of it made my mouth water and that only got me to working faster. So, my ginormous cupcake adventure began....

With the pans lightly sprayed and the batter all ready to go, I finally popped them into the oven and waited (im)patiently for the results....

Doesn't it look yummy? The directions were so easy to follow and it came out just the way I wanted it to. A couple things that I did to make everything run as smoothly as I expected were to spray the pans very lightly with non-stick spray and level out the cakes when they were out of the oven and cooled. The directions mentioned this and I followed it to the letter....I'm glad I did because things worked out perfectly. The pans are very sturdy and can stand up to the heat without getting warped or damaged. The best part is, it's refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher safe! So convenient. I have to say, I think I've found a new baking toy. There are so many possibilities with this pan and you're not limited to just making it look like a cupcake. As you can see above, I simply did a glaze drizzle to show hopefully show you how it looks when they come out of the oven. Next time, I'm thinking of doing a cute little bee hive. Oh the possibilities.... I am absolutely ecstatic that I had the opportunity to try out The Big Top Cupcake. It fit so perfectly into my lifestyle that I couldn't be more happy about doing this review. And guess what? This review is not the only thing that came with this awesome bakeware.....there's a giveaway too! You all have a chance to win one for yourself.
