Scooby Doo! and Kiss: Rock & Roll Mystery

Two things :  Scooby-Doo and KISS

Kiss
Visit me for the best 80s and 90s bands :)
For the fellow 80s and 90s babies there were many things that we miss now.  When I was younger I remember my sister, cousin, and their friends making their hair so BIG I was baffled.  I honestly do not know if I could do it to my own without major hairspray usage or the Cameron Diaz magic product from Something About Mary.

In between watching them do their hair and makeup, for hours if I may add, I was watching 'toons! The typical cartoon that was on was Scooby Doo.  Can you say Mystery Machine anyone? It was my fun vehicle I had on MASH games as well as a limo ... I always lived in a Shack. :(    Be ready to rock out with Kiss in the Mystery Machine  -- You have been warned of this greatness! You may not be biting off bat heads like Ozzy from Black Sabbath but you will probably be painting your face!

Get ready to Rock! Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. Gang team up with the one and only KISS in this all-new, out-of-this-world adventure! We join the Gang at Kiss World – the all-things-Kiss theme park, as they investigate a series of strange hauntings. With help from Kiss, they discover that the Crimson Witch has returned to summon The Destroyer from the alternate dimension of Kissteria! The evil duos ghastly plan, to destroy the earth! Can the Gang's cunning and Kiss's power of rock save the day?! Tune in to this Rock and Roll Mystery for some thunderous, heavy FUN!

Play with the sound machine below to prepare yourself for this amazing DVD! Did I mention that I am giving one away?

Shutterfly 2013 Holiday Cards

Go to the Shutterfly home page.
I thought of the best Christmas Card idea ever - we wear matching red sweaters with a white collared shirt underneath and do an 80s pose.  I saw the pose on a movie and instantly thought it would be a good laugh instead of all the boring Christmas cards people usually send.  I always use Shutterfly for my photobooks and want there to check out their 2013 Christmas Collection.  Go there now!

Hello Save The Date/Christmas Card!
We all know how much I love the photobooks, so be sure to check them out -- great presents for Grandparents if they are filled with a years worth of photographs.  BEST PRESENT EVER!

Tiny Prints

Besides bridal shower invitations and wedding invitations one main event keeps happening in our lives - babies!  When Britt was having her shower she sent out adorable invites and they matched her theme! I love when everything goes together, such as the decorations invitations, colors, and the gifts.

A great company I had the privilege to work with is Tiny Prints. Their invitations and announcements are adorable! Most of the invitations that I love include bright colors and are easy to coordinate with.  The unique invites are a wonderful surprise to the guest, especially the ones I picked out!

Birth announcements are another element that I love getting in the mail.  People usually send ones out from the hospital because they get packages, but if you or someone you know is going to have a baby soon think of Tiny Prints!  There were so many unique and cute ideas that it was hard to pull a few to show everyone.   Tiny Prints has the traditional look people often love as well as the option to have 5+ photos on your announcement.

Quick Giveaway: Tiny Prints wants to give a reader $50 to use on their site!  If you want to enter do the following things:
  1. Visit Tiny Prints Birth Announcements or Tiny Prints Baby Shower Invitations and comment favorite stationery item.  Let me know which one you liked!

KidsEmail.Org-Safe Email Solutions for Your Family

As we prepare to move, I have been looking for ways to help our daughter adapt with living far away from our family.  She is so in love with her older cousin Ava and I want to help them keep in touch after the move.  The girls like to draw and send each other pictures so I was excited to try KidsEmail.org!

Kids Email is an easy way to give your child the ability to have an email account that you can easily monitor and control.  Your child has to option of picking their own email account name and can choose from many homepage designs.
Boo chose to princess theme!
There are two different logins, one for you and one for your kids.  The kids login takes them to their email where they can read and send email.  The parent's login has many options for monitoring and controlling your child's account.  You can choose if your child can send or receive emails, photos, videos, links, or attachments.   You can also filter bad words, receive copies of all incoming and outgoing emails and add a tag line stating it's a child's email account.

The parent's section allows you to restrict the usage of the email account.  You can impose a grounding or even certain times and dates.
Right now, my daughter is still a little young for this, but this is great for anyone with older kids.  There is even an option to use an "older kid" version so your child doesn't think it's too childish.  I think that using this and other safe internet strategies, you can really protect your child online!  Overall, this is a great service for all parents!

They are offering a free 30 day trial! This is actually a free trial(no payment info is needed) with no need to cancel at a later date.

{2012 Holiday Gift Guide} Teach My Toddler

Like every other mother, I think that my daughter is very smart.  I am lucky to have a child that loves everything about learning.  We are constantly singing the ABC's or speaking in Spanish(she actually knows more than I do!).  I knew after I first looked at the Teach My Toddler Kit that she would be thrilled.

Teach My has different kits for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.  I selected the toddler kit and was excited to see everything that it included.  The kit comes with four sections: Alphabet, Numbers, Colors, and Shapes.  It comes in a storage case and each subject is separated.  I really like that everything is really organized and easy to find. My daughter's playroom seems to suck everything into a black hole.  I will open a pack of flashcards and when I go to put them away almost half are missing.

The entire Teach My Toddler Set includes:
~4 Board Books
~4 Full-Size Posters
~5 Foam Puzzles
~50+ Flashcards
~Teaching Guide
~Storage Case

As soon as I got the kit in the mail, we opened it.  There was a ton of material and I was real impressed with the quality of everything.  The flashcards are really sturdy which is really important for toddlers. The color flashcards are my favorite.  The color side is just solid color, not a picture of something that color.  If a flashcard has a picture of a carrot on it for the color orange, my daughter notices the carrot more than the color. I hung all the posters up in her playroom.  The alphabet poster is a topic of discussion every day in our house.  "Mama, what is a newt?"

My daughter knows all her colors and shapes but I found this to be a great way to refresh her memory.  She really liked doing the puzzles because she knew where all of the pieces went.  We have mostly been working on her ABC's and numbers.  She knows how to count so we are working more on number recognition.  WE have been reading the foam books and doing the puzzles and flashcards almost every day.

I love that this is a whole learning system all in one place.  No more finding a great alphabet book but finding out there isn't a similar number book as well.  This is an easy to follow, fun system that any little one would enjoy doing!  I recommend this for anyone who has a little one from ages six months to five years old!

You can buy a whole kit for only $49.99 or just a section starting out at $14.99.  Order here!

I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

PackAways!

I love organization.  I mean LOVE it.  When I had the chance to review these I knew exactly what I was going to use it for ... but I had to narrow my list down because I only got 2.  I received the Pink and Green  boxes.  They were so easy to assemble and were automatically taken for kids toys. Hubbs brother was in the process of moving and these were the best things to stick the toys that were contantly in use.  As the house was getting fixed (paint, cleaning, etc.), I constantly heard how amazing it was to just have these within reach to keep the kids occupied.  It was even better because the colors were so bright and different, the kids did not fight over which box was theirs! The teacher in me still added their names to the write on area with my Dry Erase Marker though :)  If I even get these back, hopefully, I will use them for my classroom!  Teachers absolutely love organization ad boxes that are simple to put together and pack as these are.

Packaways is a brand new Storage Box that ships and stores in the flat position. When needed, simply press on opposing corners and the bottom "Automatically" folds into place and locks. When not in use, simply press on the bottom and the box folds back down flat for easy, out of the way storage. Ideal for homes, apartments or living quarters where use is intermittent and space is tight. Many applications: Moving; Back To School; Organizing The Kids' Rooms; Basement or Garage; Seasonal Items, etc. You can color code your things or have the colors match your decor. Proudly made in the U.S.A. from durable corrugated plastic. Great for harsh storage conditions or long-term storage since moisture and humidity won't effect the integrity of the boxes. Will last hundreds of cycles under normal circumstances. Comes with 2 Wipe Away Panels that allow you to conveniently identify the contents of the box. If you use China Dry Erase Markers, you can simply Wipe Away the previous contents and remark the box. Please go to www.packaways.com for more information.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Susan Brown's Baby Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer~Review

Although my daughter is too young to go to school, many of her activities start at the same time school does. She just started dance class and there are 13 other little ones in her class. At the end of each class after holding hands and rolling around on the floor, they each get a lollipop.  Those dirty hands go straight into their mouths.  I knew I had to be proactive in keeping her well.  When my daughter gets sick, she not only doesn't feel well but also gets very crappy.  When I heard that I was going to get to try Susan Brown's Baby Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer I knew that it would be great for her after dance class.

About the Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer(from their website):
"The must-have purse or diaper bag accessory! Our best selling Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer contains jojoba and vitamin E beads that will leave your hands feeling moisturized while decreasing the bacteria on your hands. Wont leave hands feeling sticky."
Filled with moisture beads!
When I think of hand sanitizers, I think of sticky messes that end up drying out my hands.  I almost never use hand sanitizers because of that feeling.  During the winter, my hands are always super dry so they are completely out of the question then.  Susan Brown's Baby is so different.  It somehow manages to leave your hand feeling like you just used lotion.  It left absolutely no residue but left my hands feeling clean.  There are moisture beads made with vitamin E and jojoba throughout the hand sanitizer.  I think that there is no way my hands would dry out after using it, making it perfect for winter!  It does smell like alcohol but leaves your hands with a fresh scent.  My hands almost have a fresh linen scent to them.

The hand sanitizer is dermatologist tested and free of both parabens and phthalates.  I really like that because it makes me feel safe using it on my daughter.  She really likes using it because of the pink and blue "dots".  I tossed this in my purse last week and have been using it almost every time we leave the house.  I put in on her every time we get in the car after we go to the store.  I would recommend this to any mom or soon-to-be mama!

I received the above products through Sublime Media Connection in exchange for an honest review. In no way was I asked to give a positive review.

We decorated for Halloween!

My toddler is really into making decorations.  It is almost weekly now that we have "birthday parties" and she makes me decorate and make party hats.  So last week I busted out the glue sticks and construction paper and we made some fun stuff.  Here are some pictures of a few things we made.  We also made a Mickey Mouse bat mobile and other small bats and ghosts.  Mind you, these were made by a two year old!

Carter's Watch The Wear~Review and Giveaway!

My daughter has really started to enjoy picking out her own clothes lately.  I really like her to choose her own clothes at the store but most of the time she ends up choosing something way too expensive.  Most of the time with children's clothes, they are either cheap or cute.  Then I discovered Carter's Watch the Wear.  Their clothes are both affordable and very stylish.

About Carter's Watch the Wear(from their website):
"CARTER’S Watch the Wear brand is rooted deep in American history and Americana. Since its inception in 1859, over 150 years ago, by Henry W. Carter, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, the people of H.W. Carter & Sons and the CARTER’S Watch the Wear company have strived to achieve something they can take pride in, something that has been a symbol of quality in the making of sturdy denim workwear. Now they enter a new chapter in history while keeping the spirit and principles of Henry W. Carter alive. What was once designed for the men who hand built America, is now made for everyday families who keep America thriving."
I let my daughter pick out an outfit on thier website and she chose the  Carters Kids Clothes Stripe Top Legging Set in fuchsia.  Boo actually gasped when I took the outfit out of the package.  She loves anything that is pink so it was instantly a hit!  She also really liked that the shirt has a ruffle around the bottom of the shirt.  She danced all around that house watching the ruffles spin. Also, the top of the shirt has little rhinestones on it.  She kept calling them her "sparkles".   Her everyday outfit is usually leggings and a shirt so this was a great pick for her.  The best part of the outfit? The price!!  This two piece set is on sale right now for only $11!  Carter's Watch the Wear is a great company for anyone who is looking for great, affortable, cute kids clothes!

Carter's Watch the Wear is generously offering two of our readers a $25 gift card for their online store! Enter below!
