Testing Out Teespring

As a blogger, we get asked to check out new websites all the time. Most of the time, the site looks promising but is a slightly altered version of a much more successful site. Teespring is genuinely an amazing one-of-a-kind website that offers a crowdfunding platform for groups, causes and communities to design and sell custom apparel. What does all that mean? Basically, you can design and sell your own shirts online with no upfront cost to you.  

How it works:

Step 1:

Design your shirt!  Choose from different styles of shirts, fabrics, fonts, and graphics to customize a shirt that is perfect for your fundraising project.

Step 2:

Set your moneymaking goals.  There is a really easy feature that lets you decide on how much money you want to make and how many shirts you need to sell to get there.  

Step 3:
You can choose a name for your campaign and write a description, sharing any info you think is important to someone buying a shirt.  You can always customize a URL and pick how long to sell your shirts.

Step 4:

Launch and share your campaign!

With other shirt ordering sites, you must guess how many of each size you will need and pay for all the shirts in advance.  Not with Teespring!  Since everyone buys their shirt online, they can get what they exactly want and are paying them directly for the shirt.  The shirts only print when you have met your sales goal(minimum of ten shirts) and you never have to deal with collecting the money on your own!

Other satisfied customers include a couple sold this "Love makes a family shirt" to raise money to adopt and another raised over 85k for Boston relief.  Overall, this is one of the best fundraising sites I have ever come across and I highly recommend it!

We picked this super cute pair of sandals to review.  They are called the  Mini Turquoise Hawaiian Sandal and were a hit.  For those of you who have been following the blog my wedding colors have changed just like the weather in this town - from one extreme to another. Finally it has been decided that it is going to be navy, shades of pinks and gold/silver- sometimes you have to Pinterest hours to figure it out.  Anyway, the blues fit perfectly with what  I wanted.

To begin with they were delivered fast!  I loved the little paper they were wrapped in when delivered - kind of like a surprise present inside that little box!

Another thing I loved is there are matching adult/children shoes!  I can just imagine the cute pictures that can be done with bridesmaids and flower girls during the reception.  Everyone kicks their heels off for flips (besides me because I am short) during the reception, so they should look cute while dancing the night away!  Plus, they are a steal - $12/$15.

Shoes!

One of my big things to buy ever since I was small (haha) were shoes!  Trying to find a pair of shoes in my little size 5 feet is difficult.  Combine that with trying to find a pair that is unforgettable as a wedding shoe is tremendously difficult.    I think I found a few that are amazing....  to me anyway! 

The first is from a company online called Privileged.  I love how unique they are - they are the bottom right pair!  They have glitter, high heels, spikes, and are extremely neat looking! The only problem is I have never worn a heel quite like this one ....

The third are from Ebay. They are all glitter and crystal.  The only problem is they have a pointy toe tip...

Shiekh is another brand I recently discovered.  I can honestly say I never really know where I find new brands, but they are pretty cool.  They are the two pairs at the top of the page.

Slippers are another pair of shoes that get added to my collection.  One thing that I absolutely love is the soles.  They are not the typical soles that slippers have, they are like my Bear Paw shoes - they have a Hard, Durable sole! Even thought I have tiny feet and the Small was still large on me, they did the job.  I had an open-toed slipper in Mocha.  The Mocha's color is like the cappuccinos from Sheetz.  Yum!   They were so comfy and when I first woke up and was bumping around to get coffee, they saved my toes from getting stubbed! Dress Shopping

We are making the trip to MB Bridal in Greensburg, PA this weekend to see a Trunk Show for Maggie Sottero and Sottero & Midgley.  Am I excited? Yes! I am always the girl that changes out of her heels at any event.  One of the first things I did after walking down the aisle was change into flats.  My feet are very flat and wearing heels is very painful for me.  I have spent years trying to find a comfortable heel but have never found one that I could wear for a long period of time.  When I first heard of Footminders Orthotics, I knew I wanted to try them!

I am going to Las Vegas next week for my brother's wedding.  I am a bridesmaid so there was no way I could get around wearing heels.  I wanted to test these out in the heels I plan to wear to the wedding.  I tried the Catwalk insoles in my heels for a full day.  They made a world of difference!  I could stand to wear the heels for hours on end with no pain.  They fully supported my arched and even improved my posture.  I am absolutely bringing these to Vegas with me!

Just Eyewear~Review and Giveaway!

I have been a lifelong glasses wearer.  For the last few years, I have pretty much have the same style glasses.  I always want to try a new style but glasses are so expensive that I don't want to waste my money on a pair I may not end up liking.  I have had the same pair of glasses for the last three years and knew it was time to get some new ones.  However, I no longer have health insurance.  Paying for an eye appointment plus glasses is just out of the question right now.  The founder of Just Eyewear had the same problem as me and decided to do something about it!

I had a hard time choosing which pair to pick.  Luckily, they have a lot of guides to help you from face shape to frame styles and more.  I ended up choosing the Derek Cardigan 7014 Black glasses.  Ordering was super easy and they have so many informative pages that it makes it really easy to find the answer to any problem you may have.  

They fit my face great!  They are really different from my other glasses and I really like the change.  I like that I can match my glasses to what I am wearing that day.  Since the glasses are all so cheap, you can afford to play around with styles and colors.  They also have prescription sunglasses which is great! Overall, I am a fan of Just Eyewear and plan on using them the next time I buy glasses!
